Lange am Markt in Ludwigsburg

First class food! Excellent price / performance ratio. (not cheap, but cheap for what is on offer).

Nice location, especially outside for coffee with a view of the Holzmarkt without vehicle noise. However, one expects better quality cakes in a cooking school. I recommend the operator to try his cake offer himself. Switching to another supplier is then easier. Plum cake with a thick, dry base and centimeter-thick sugar sprinkles on top. Therefore only 3 ☆

Unfortunately a disappointment. We were simply ignored by the staff. We sat for a few minutes when another, strange person sat down at our table. As soon as she was seated, the waitress came and brought her the menu - not us. The other guest was very nice and pointed out that we were there first. So we got the card and the waitress got more cards. Unfortunately it went on like this. I wanted tea, after big sayings about the selection there was a bowl with 5 varieties, not even a green tea was included. Tea bags also do not match the claim. A white coffee without milk foam did not work either. The cake was delicious, but extremely expensive. It went on with service. The waitress checked the candles at the table - also with us, in order to light them in another passage - even at empty tables, but not with us. Apparently we weren't welcome. Then I wanted to talk to the boss about it when paying, but he had ignored us too and we paid like in the self-service counter at the counter. My personal highlight, however, was the answer to another guest's question about the champagne. The lady said she didn't know the house brand. The answer "Champagne is great" is truly not a professional answer, but an insult. To be fair, I would like to mention this experience from 2019.

I only ate 2 scoops of ice cream here. They were worth it. Nice personel...

The fully booked restaurant shows that good locations can survive even in times of Corona. Clear selection of food, but all of excellent quality. The wine selection of the best quality, the Martin Albrecht winery is particularly noteworthy here. All of this has its price, of course, but it is still reasonable.

Very pleasant atmosphere right on the market place, friendly staff and excellent food and desserts. The focus on the quality of the food that is taught in the cooking school is also reflected in the food. Good all round.

Here we had a leisurely breakfast! Sitting between lemon, peach and olive trees radiated a Mediterranean flair! The wait staff was very friendly and nice! We ordered breakfast for 2 people! The latte macchiato tasted that the coffee beans were a special roast. The plate was lovingly garnished with various fruits and nuts. Small selected pieces of cheese adorned the edge, as well as smaller glasses with cream cheese, jam and a delicious nut-nougat cream in the middle, alongside different strips of ham. Special sorts of bread slices were set aside, which you could reorder free of charge. All of this was of an above-average quality that you would not find often. We found the tiny bowl of yoghurt and the small bowl of scrambled eggs, which should be enough for two people, a little disappointing. Here the guest, to serve a little more, would not have hurt the calculated budget very much. We would then have left the location with a feeling of total satisfaction.

Our favorite in Ludwigsburg! Food & drinks are great every time, the service is super nice and courteous and you sit very nice both inside and outside. Price-performance ratio is absolutely right here.

We are regular guests of Lange on the market. The reason is on the one hand the great ambience (location on the market place, great outside area and tasteful interior inside), on the other hand the quality of the dishes. So far, everything we ate and drank was of very high quality and extremely tasty. If you value the quality of the ingredients and fine-tuned flavors, you should eat here. In addition, the staff is friendlier and more qualified than in some other locations in LB. Keep it up!

Really great cooking school! Relaxed mood, you learn something and of course you get the recipes. The food is delicious and the wines are perfectly selected. The hosts are really worried. Cooking classes are also possible in the morning, which was very helpful. We have been there twice and will be back.

This restaurant offers everything I appreciate of a great restaurant. The interior is modern, with an open kitchen and comfortable seating. Location is spectacular. Staff is just extremely friendly with a eye for details. The menu is small, which is already a good sign for highly selective fresh and regional food. They also offer a high class but small selection of local wine. I can definitely highly recommend!

We went to a cooking class, meat and sauces on Sunday. The cooking class was great, and the food and wine were delicious. Can only be recommended ?

Very pleasant restaurant with consistently sympathetic service. The food (in our case: breakfast) was delicious in every way, whether hearty or sweet. The atmosphere is pleasant and inviting. Recommendation: possibly reserve a seat before, since the tables were occupied relatively quickly. But it will find a place for each guest. For those who are communicative, they also like to find their place at the big table. We will be back.

For the second time we had an unforgettable evening at Kochschule Lange. We were lovingly cared for, cooked with the most delicious ingredients and tried exceptional wines. The great atmosphere creates a truly unique atmosphere that makes you feel very happy and happy. Big words, but that's best. Thanks a lot for the great team, we recommend: try it!

After our civil wedding, we celebrated at the Lange Kochschule and it was wonderful! Would plan it that way again and again! The food was delicious, the service incredibly friendly and the location was great anyway!

Long on the market: Finally (already for 1 year) ..... the Ludwigsburg market square has a wonderful place to stay. Great service, very good and changing delicacies to eat / drink, very nice and stylish dining room. It's worth a visit.

Outstanding location, friendly staff, good and simple menu. Beware a “medium” temperature request in burgers, might be closer to “medium rare/rare” - but still delicious. Two thumbs up, highly recommend if downtown Ludwigsburg...

Excellent food and gracious service. If I lived in Ludwigsburg, this would be my #1 go to place for coffee, pastries and really, really good German pork
